State auditors review and evaluate financial and information systems and agency programs, test and evaluate the effectiveness of controls, assist in formulating conclusions about the operation of agency systems, and provide recommendations for improvement.

The Oregon Audits Division conducts audits under the authority of the Oregon Secretary of State, one of three offices set in the Constitution. An independent elected official, the Secretary of State answers directly and solely to the people of Oregon. We follow national auditing standards and issue public reports with every audit.
